What We Do
Starting at the marine sanctuary and bays at Lyttleton, the Estuary, moving on to the tropical islands of Samoa then to the great pacific garbage patch. We retrieve rubbish, we repurpose, recycle or put it away.
Raising awareness of the issues facing our oceans and providing solutions. Eco Pirates run awareness and education programmes to inspire people to eco-action.
Youtube, Twitch Streaming, Tik-Tok, Instagram, FB. Eco-Pirates will educate.
We work with others involved in eco action to promote key messages and to promote the projects and messages from like minded groups and organisations.
Eco-Pirates, calling those of like mind and kindred spirit that have a passion and motivation to take action to protect the environment. Building a strong diverse community of eco-pirates across the pacific and the world - people ready to take action.
How Does It Work?
We gather volunteers.
We gather information.
We gather equipment and resources.
Then we take action.
Ocean clean ups, reef replanting, sea turtle protection, ocean borne rubbish retrieval. Eco-Pirates find ways to harness voluntary effort and fundraise to improve the state of the planet, oceans and promote environmentally friendly living.
The South Pacific Conservation Corps has HQ in Christchurch New Zealand and a base in Samoa. We run projects and programmes both in NZ and use our base in Samoa as a platform for pacific wide action.
If you are in NZ come stay with us, explore and celebrate. If you are in Samoa or passing by, come stay with us and get involved!
