Operation BLue

Operation Blue is about our focus here in Christchurch and Banks Peninsula.

We have been working hard to get the sailing ship Delight, a 30foot sloop ready for local sea going adventures. The ship has a crew that is focused on learning seamanship, preparing for sailing excursions in the marine sanctuary here.

We have a growing fleet of (8) Kayaks, motor boats and dingy's that are poised for exploring and promoting awareness of the marine sanctuary and counting dolphins.

We seek to promote awareness of the sanctuary and team up with other groups to advocate for its expansion and monitoring of life within it.

Delight is being prepared for longer excursions, coastal sailing and any activism on the sea.

The long term plan is to expand the fleet of boats, get people on the ocean, get Delight over to Samoa to promote reef protection.

You can join the crew and come along for excursions.

You can follow our missions on the blog.

You can contribute time, knowledge, resource or just come for a ride.
