Today we did some plastic chipping!
100 milk bottles. I love the milk bottles, they go straight down and chip up real good!
Kiwi households are churning through nearly two billions plastic containers a year with over a third of it by weight ending up in landfill.
I also did about 70 of these plastic water bottles.
I have another 5000 or so bottles to do,
While chipping the plastics It was a bit sad to think that so much of this crap is being purchased every day. Bottles of water....you drink the litre and throw the bottle away.
I look around the garage and think WOW no good. So much single use plastic. I have this bad ready to process, it has about 100 small budget soft drink bottles in it. I recall the kids birthday party at the arcade, one wee bottle each. Some not even fully consumed....its just no good. People do not deserve this planet.
On the other hand, I am pleased I get to chip it all and make wee plant pots to sell to fundraise for our eco action !
