Today we went out to Oamaru to visit Tess who has been diligently working away on some hives, meeting local keepers and studying hard with the ultimate goal of spending a lot of time in Samoa establishing hives with the Eco-Pirates.
This year the goal for this project is to build an eco cabin to host our keepers and be the base of operations for the first 150 hives. We are making lists of what we will need and be on the mission to gather these resources through the year!
With so many developments in Samoa relating to bee keeping, we are excited to be involved. Bees = lots of pollination and healthier eco-systems.
To buy hives or build hives is the question.
We look forward to meet some project advisors up north in February.
Love Bees!
