Longer term, we aim to get to the gyre, to research it, learn about it, do something about it.

Some research says that it is 50 percent fishing gear, other research says it is microplastic!

We will research it, post about it, blog about it while we prepare boats that will get us there to explore it. We will make plans about what we will do to combat it !

Deadline for the first excursion to the patch is 2024, we are gearing up a small sailing ship 40 ft - Patricia to do the trip. Follow us here to see what we learn, see what we do  to prepare, contribute your knowledge, resources, time and lets get there.

If we dont take Patricia, we will be taking a bigger expedition vessal or perhaps a traditional twin hulled sailing craft (I will ask them lol - wonder if they'll be keen!)
