The Mission

By 2041

The mission is set.  I was once told that you will always over estimate what you can do in one year and underestimate what you can do in ten ! So I have decided to go for a twenty year plan and by 2041 (when I am 60 years old) the mission will be up for review!

1. Establish ECO-PIRATES as an active and prominent group that leads environmental protection in the South Pacific alongside other groups and people of the land

2. To have developed CAMP Samoa - a series of Eco Camps across that Samoa that are bases hosting locals and visitors that want to get hands on in a series of environmental actions.

3. To have the camps act as a base for the development of social, health and micro business activities for locals, that allow income to support healthy living while protecting the environment.

4. To grow a fleet of boats that promote sailing, ocean protection, conduct research, allow for targeting of the great pacific garbage patch.

5. To rally individuals, communities, groups that have a passion for the environment, to lobby and affect change, protection and promotion of the environment.

6. To use technology and social  online platforms to raise awareness of the projects and get helpers internationally !

7. Establish businesses that are in line with goals of environmental protection that will assist with the ongoing funding of the projects developed.

8. Establish video captures at key locations around the pacific that show time lapse of the demise of the environment and the impacts of global warming, pollution, sea temperature rise and sea level raise. We must document the slow and sure death of the environment and the people that live there. The people of the pacific will be some of the first and hardest hit and we must document this while doing all that is possible to halt this destruction and preserve people and culture.

This is a broad mission and will be developed and added to and reviewed as we go forward.
