Mathew Glanville
Mathew Glanville, founder of the Eco-Pirates. Mathew has been dreaming about being based on the beach for a lifetime. After a visit to Samoa to see family in 2001, Mathew was inspired to pull a project together.

Twenty years later, after a career in hospitality, social work, youth and community development, Mathew has decided that the next 40 years will be dedicated to environmental protection and community, social and economic development of those that are living in pacific islands.
​
Mathew is set to harness resources and time to some fun filled action promoting environmental protection.
Peneueta Uili

Peneueta Uili Farani is a resident of Samoa. Peneueta has provided access to land for Eco-Pirates HQ in Apia and also access to land to establish the first Eco-Camp in Samoa. The land has been provided to the project for use for 50 years, as which point it is predicted the land will be under water due to global warming and rising sea levels which is having a big impact in the pacific.

The land is within a lagoon which is also a protected marine sanctuary.
​
Peneueta is a retired police officer and the local cultural and business advisor to the project.
Ethan Coutanche
Ethan Coutanche is local to Christchurch and owner of Galaxy Bar and back-packers a primary sponsor of Eco-Pirates. Ethan is a musician, a surfer, has a passion for adventure and the environment and aims to be on the beach rolling out projects as often as possible.
Dillon Winkleman
Dillon based in Nelson NZ sits on the advisory group of Eco-Pirates. He is a business owner involved with drainage and drain laying, land works and brings this expertise to the project. This especially handy when developing the design work for camp.

Dillon is passionate about the environment, is often frustrated with the mundane way that we are expected to design capitalist lifestyles and seeks a means to escape and / or be involved in ongoing meaningful projects that promote environmental protection and resilience.

David Burrows
David Burrows, based in Christchurch NZ is a historian at heart. With a passion for culture, history of people, story telling and spiritualism, David is committed to supporting the development of the Eco-Pirates.
​
An IT professional, David provides advice and assistance with online marketing and IT related needs of the project.
David Johnston
David Johnston, based in Christchurch has a history in youth and community development. Completing training presently in Civil Defense, Search and Rescue and Advanced Paramedic training, David is keen to work with Eco Pirates in project planning, expedition planning and delivering workshops at Camp Samoa in first aid, search and rescue and water safety for locals involved in the projects.

David is an adventurer, explorer, day dreamer, creator and wants to protect the environment.
